Access by Road

A fully developed county road system networks Haliburton County to the province's super-highways, rail corridors, ports and air connections worldwide. Provincial Hwy. 35 is the main corridor that runs south to Lindsay and north to Huntsville. Provincial Hwy. 118 extends west to Bracebridge and the old County Road 121 has been renamed to 118 which runs east and connects to Bancroft.

Access by Air

The Stanhope Municipal Airport services light single engine, twin propeller and amphibious aircraft. The runway is 770 meters long. Facilities are non-navigational and consist of a light beacon only. The night-lights include an arcal system, air radio control and air dome lighting that operates at 123 MHz. Several float plane bases offer charter and recreational services including float endorsements, refueling and tie-down facilities. Air services offer sightseeing and charter flights.
